Somewhere around the time you leave college, and find yourself thrown into the black hole of real life, you’ve managed to find a good sense of self. Or, rather, you’ve created an experienced version of yourself. With that, you have a new set of attitudes and beliefs simply because you’re older and therefore know way more things.
Yes, you’ve reached that point in your life where you feel confident and comfortable enough to say what you really feel. It’s similar to that feeling of being a senior which, simply by that title, makes you far superior to the underclassmen. You also may discover that you care less about what people think, and more about things that make you feel happy. For me, the point after grad school graduation was the first time in my life that I started doing the things that I wanted to do, whenever I wanted to do them.
A glorified sense of freedom. But, then I had to get a big girl job, and that freedom now half hangs out the window.
Such is life.
